
The west of Langtang National Park there is a group of peaks called Ganesh Himal. This trekking takes you through river valleys and traditional farming communities that contain a diversity of the ethnic groups in Nepal. The trekking goes through pine and rhododendron forests and across different passes and cols. There are wonderful views of Langtang, Gosai Kund, Ganesh Himal, Boudha Peak, Himal Chuli, Machhapuchre, South Annapurna and Annapurna II. Due to the easy accesability of this trekking there are opportunities for trekking lasting under a week. There are interesting panoramic views destination points are called Singala pass, Dharka, Jasail Kunda, Jyamrung. Ganesh himal trekking is recommended for its rich Flora: the impressive display of berberis, orchids and diversity of Ferns. The valleys set blazing by yellow blossoms of double Jasmine, the forest dense with Spanish oak, blue pine, and in spring time blossoming of the rhododendron set whole forest flaming in magnificent arrays of colours. The trekking route passes through Tamang villages, gorges and glaciers and reaches Sangjung Kharka and Khola Kharka to view Ganesh Himal V & II, Langtang Li Rung (7,225m) and magnificent mountains and to discover rich flora in this remote trekking region of Nepal. Between Kathmandu and Pokhara are three major groups of mountains: Ganesh Himal, Langtang and Manaslu. Ganesh himal trekking is ideal for those wanting to escape from the more popular regions of Annapurna and Everest. It is famous for unspoiled Tamang culture, spectacular views of mountains and colorful rhododendron forest.
